Reducing Carbon Emissions

A stable climate is indispensable to quality of life. Sodexo is in a strong position to contribute to this global challenge through our core services. Actions we are taking include food waste prevention, energy management services and responsible sourcing. And globally, out chefs have developed hundreds of plant-based recipes to minimise our impact on the environment while promoting better health.

In Singapore, all cooking oil on clients sites are recycled as sustainable biofuel and we are minimising the use of single-use plastics and straws as part of our Single Use Plastics Reduction Plan. And during our annual WasteLESS Week, we rally clients and all staff to use less and recycle more.


Climate change

Through our partnership with World Wildlife Fund (WWF), we created a new methodology to calculate the carbon embedded in our operations and supply chain. This information has allowed us to set a target to reduce carbon emissions by 34% from our operations and supply chain between 2011 and 2025.
