Chef Takes a Trip to Australia for Sodexo Global Chef Program

Sodexo's Global Chef program brings together authentic flavours from around the world. Global Chef is a week-long international chef residency that takes Sodexo’s top chefs from around the world to different countries in order to share authentic cuisines and cooking techniques with Sodexo’s customers. Executive Chef Michael Lim recently went on a culinary tour in Sydney, Australia.

The Global chef tour wrapped up this week as Chef Michael Lim, a Sodexo executive chef from Singapore, visited select corporate sites in Sydney, sharing traditional and modern culinary delights with clients, customers and the Sodexo teams. while engaging with Sodexo’s corporate clients and culinary staff in live cooking demonstrations.

Creative menus and displays featured Singaporean dishes such as Five Spice Ngoh Hiang, Fish Assam Curry, Seafood laksa, Beef Rendang, Sambal Terung and Nyonya Chicken Curry.

With over 20 years of professional culinary expertise, Chef Lim is driven by innovation; he applies creativity in food aesthetics coupled with modern culinary techniques to create menus that meet and exceed his international customers’ needs. Chef Lim is a 4-time recipient of the Excellence Service Award presented by the Restaurant Association of Singapore – most recently obtaining the Gold award in 2016. Currently, Chef Michael Lim is the Chef Manager of Google based in Singapore.
